El hecho ha ocurrido hacia las 06:20 horas a poca distancia de la discoteca BCM, cercana esta a la popular calle Punta Ballena y cuya clientela son mayoritariamente jóvenes turistas extranjeros. El fallecido era de nacionalidad francesa.
